Cara Biasucci develops and produces Ethics Unwrapped for the McCombs School of Business. As a filmmaker, author, and educator, she has created content for television, museums, and K-12 schools. Cara spent more than a decade in Washington, D.C. where she wrote, produced, and directed films for clients such as Discovery Times, American Public Television, Johns Hopkins Medicine, New England Patriots, and the National Gallery of Art. Her documentary and narrative films have been broadcast on public television, screened in festivals around the world, and been supported by (among others) The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, Engender Health, Women in Film, and The Liberace Foundation for the Creative and Performing Arts.
Cara is on the Governing Board of the National Ethics Project and part of the Center for Leadership and Ethics at McCombs. Currently, she is writing about teaching behavioral ethics for the forthcoming book series Teaching Ethics Across the American Educational Experience: Models for Design, Instruction and Assessment of Learning. Cara taught media production at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before coming to UT Austin. She received her M.F.A. in Film & Video Production from The University of Texas at Austin, and B.A. in philosophy magna cum laude from Bowdoin College.
Lazaro Hernandez is a Producer for Ethics Unwrapped at the McCombs School of Business. He has animated more than 80 videos for Ethics Unwrapped, creating unique animation styles for two popular program series: Ethics Defined and Scandals Illustrated. Lazaro joined the program as a student worker in 2014, and has contributed steadily since then, becoming a production assistant after graduating in 2015, and moving up to producer in 2018. Most recently, Lazaro produced the program’s short video on the #MeToo Movement and its ethical implications. Currently, he leads the program’s social media and outreach team.
Before joining Ethics Unwrapped full time, Lazaro worked as a news reporter for various print publications, and as a videographer and video editor for Univision 62 in Austin. Lazaro holds a B.S. in Radio-Television-Film and a Bachelor of Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin.
Robert Prentice is a professor of business law and business ethics and Founding Chair of the Department of Business, Government & Society at the McCombs School of Business. He is also Faculty Director of Ethics Unwrapped. Professor Prentice is an inaugural member of the UT System Board of Regents Academy of Distinguished Teachers, and recipient of numerous teaching awards. He has taught business ethics for more than 30 years, and publishes often in the field of behavioral ethics and business law.
